Setup guide
Import your Qualvey results into your CRM
Pick your CRM. Setup takes about 10 minutes the first time. After that, imports need no setup.
HubSpot
Contacts file
- In HubSpot, go to Contacts, then Import, and choose to import a file.
- Upload the Contacts file from Qualvey.
- HubSpot matches First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone Number, Job Title and Company Name for you.
- For each Qualvey column, open the dropdown and choose "Create new property." HubSpot fills in the name.
- If HubSpot suggests a dropdown field, change it to single-line text so new answers are never rejected.
- Confirm HubSpot's contact agreement and finish the import.
Account Intelligence file
- Go to Companies, then Import, and upload the Account Intelligence file.
- HubSpot matches Company name and Company Domain Name for you.
- Create a property for each Qualvey column, the same way as for contacts.
- Finish the import.
Good to know
Importing again later. HubSpot updates the same contacts by email and the same companies by domain. No duplicates are created.
Already have these accounts in HubSpot? Add a CRM Account ID column to your target list and Qualvey includes it as Record ID, so each account updates the right record.
Where to find Qualvey fields. On a contact or company, open Actions, then View all properties, and search "Qualvey." Add the ones you want to the record layout.
Don't need every field? Tick "Continue without mapping all columns" and import only the ones you want.
Salesforce
Before you start (one time, needs a Salesforce admin)
- In Setup, open Object Manager, then Lead, then Fields & Relationships.
- Create a field for each Qualvey column you want to keep. Give it the same name as the column, for example "Qualvey Signal Score."
- Do the same on Account for the Account Intelligence file.
- Use Number for scores and counts, Date for dates, and Text Area (Long) for everything else.
Contacts file
- In Setup, search for Data Import Wizard and launch it.
- Choose Leads, then "Add new and update existing records."
- Set "Match Lead by" to Email.
- Choose CSV, upload the Contacts file, and set Character Code to Unicode (UTF8).
- Salesforce matches the standard columns and any Qualvey fields you created. Columns without a field are skipped.
- Start the import.
Account Intelligence file
- Launch the Data Import Wizard and choose Accounts and Contacts, then "Add new and update existing records."
- Tick "Update existing Account information."
- Choose CSV, upload the Account Intelligence file, and set Character Code to Unicode (UTF8).
- Start the import.
Good to know
Importing again later. Salesforce updates the same leads by email and the same accounts by name. No duplicates are created.
Account names must match. Salesforce matches accounts on the exact name. To match on ID, add a CRM Account ID column to your target list, set "Match Account by" to Salesforce.com ID, and map the Account ID column to "Account: Salesforce.com ID."
Leads, not contacts. Qualvey contacts import as Leads, with Lead Source set to Qualvey.
Other CRMs
The Other format is a standard CSV that any CRM can import.
- Create a custom field for each Qualvey column you want to keep, using the same name as the column.
- Import the Contacts file and match on email, so existing records update instead of duplicating.
- Import the Account Intelligence file and match on company name or website.
- If your CRM has its own account ID, add a CRM Account ID column to your target list and match on that instead.
